At Splitsville Entertainment, we're looking for an exceptional Senior Commercial Director to lead our Canadian commercial strategy and accelerate growth across the business. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who can seamlessly balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution, building meaningful partnerships, driving new revenue opportunities, and inspiring teams to achieve ambitious goals.

In this role, you'll take ownership of commercial growth across corporate events, group bookings, national accounts, strategic partnerships, consumer marketing, and digital channels. You'll cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with teams across the organization to deliver innovative, revenue-generating initiatives.

You'll also lead and develop our sales and marketing teams, ensuring strong campaign execution, enhanced brand awareness, and continued customer acquisition. Here’s some of what you can expect as part of the role…

Drive Commercial Growth Across Canada

  • Develop and execute the national commercial strategy to grow revenue across corporate events, group bookings, strategic accounts, partnerships, and consumer channels.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of national and multi-location opportunities.
  • Personally lead key client relationships, high-value pitches, negotiations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Identify new revenue streams and routes to market that increase bookings, customer frequency, and brand reach.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Sales Team

  • Inspire, coach, and develop a national sales team focused on delivering ambitious growth targets.
  • Foster a proactive sales culture centered on prospecting, relationship-building, and account development.
  • Establish clear performance metrics, accountability, and best practices across the team.
  • Support the ongoing development of sales capabilities, including negotiation, presentation, and strategic account management.

Shape Marketing Strategy and Brand Performance

  • Lead the Canadian marketing function, managing and mentoring a team of two marketing professionals.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans that support business goals, seasonal campaigns, and new centre openings.
  • Ensure campaigns drive measurable commercial outcomes, including awareness, demand generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Strengthen local activation by equipping centres with effective campaigns, tools, and support.

Enhance Digital Presence and Brand Awareness

  • Define the strategy for social media, content, and digital marketing across Canada.
  • Leverage data, customer insights, and market trends to optimize performance and investment decisions.
  • Grow brand awareness, audience engagement, website traffic, and booking conversion.
  • Identify opportunities across paid social, content creators, community partnerships, and local marketing initiatives.

Drive Performance Through Data and Insight

  • Monitor sales, marketing, pipeline, and revenue performance through clear reporting and forecasting.
  • Use customer, competitor, and market insights to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance and senior leadership to evaluate investments and maximize return on marketing and sales spend.
  • Present commercial performance, opportunities, and risks with clarity and confidence.

Collaborate as a Senior Leader

  • Serve as a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team.
  • Build strong partnerships across Operations, Finance, IT, Property, and UK-based commercial and marketing teams.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance ambitious commercial growth with exceptional guest experiences and long-term brand health.

The Who…

The be a successful Senior Commercial Director, you’ll have:

  • Significant senior sales, commercial, or business development leadership experience within a national, multi-site consumer-facing organization.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth through corporate sales, strategic partnerships, national accounts, and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing sales teams across multiple markets or regions, with a strong focus on coaching, accountability, and results.
  • Experience overseeing marketing strategy or a marketing function, with a solid understanding of brand development, demand generation, digital marketing, social media, and customer engagement.
  • A commercially minded leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and the ability to translate ideas into measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in CRM management, pipeline development, forecasting, conversion optimization, and performance reporting.
  • An influential communicator and relationship builder, capable of engaging senior stakeholders, negotiating complex agreements, and representing the brand with credibility.
  • Data-driven and customer-focused, with the ability to leverage insights, market trends, and commercial acumen to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience partnering across functions to deliver business objectives and foster organizational alignment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where balancing commercial performance, brand health, and customer experience is essential.
  • Experience within hospitality, leisure, entertainment, attractions, hotels, travel, events, media, sports, sponsorship, or other multi-site consumer businesses is considered an asset.
